MISSION

Art For Inclusion showcases youth art that celebrates belonging, respect, and building CommUNITY in Sonoma Valley. This bilingual initiative creates space for youth and Latino voices, using the power of art to advance cultural movements for good and to show young people they're part of that movement.

Arte para la Inclusión muestra arte juvenil que celebra la pertenencia, el respeto y la construcción de CommUNIDAD en Sonoma Valley. Esta iniciativa bilingüe crea espacio para las voces jóvenes y latinas, usando el poder del arte para impulsar movimientos culturales positivos y mostrarles a los jóvenes que son parte de ese movimiento.

In 2024, Wake Up Sonoma partnered with Art Escape to run five workshops for youth ages 12 to 17, exploring what inclusion means through art. Those workshops produced 20 original pieces. After a pause in early 2026, the project was revived that August under Lori Winter, with a redesigned campaign bringing it to life. Youth art is now becoming window clings, displayed in businesses throughout the Valley, including Boyes Hot Springs and El Verano, so inclusion becomes something you see on every block.

En 2024, Wake Up Sonoma se asoció con Art Escape para realizar cinco talleres para jóvenes de 12 a 17 años, explorando el significado de la inclusión a través del arte. Esos talleres produjeron 20 piezas originales. Tras una pausa a principios de 2026, el proyecto se retomó en agosto bajo la dirección de Lori Winter, con una campaña rediseñada que le da vida. El arte juvenil se está convirtiendo en calcomanías para ventanas, exhibidas en negocios de todo el Valle, incluyendo Boyes Hot Springs y El Verano, para que la inclusión sea algo que se vea en cada cuadra.

    “My inspiration was to create a sense of comfort and safety through my artwork, while expressing hope for the future despite current challenges.“

    “I was inspired by how expressive and free sea animals are. I chose jellyfish because some can reverse their life cycle. I think we should give people the freedom to grow, change, and be accepted at every stage of becoming who they are.”
