If you attended the screening of Las Abagados at Sebastiani last night, you are probably still ruminating on the stark and profound images you were confronted with… the bravery, compassion and determination you saw in motion with the immigration attorneys as well as with each and every one of the people that are in absolute hell in our world today with no concrete exit plan. But, what it brought up for me, is that we have to do EVERYTHING we can, to support the people who are doing this work, and WE CANNOT STOP, WE CAN NEVER STOP. The people in the audience were riveted to that film, and everyone wanted more. When the last credits rolled, not one person got up to exit after the movie. They were hanging on every work of the filmmaker and Vicki Handron our local CEO of Sonoma Immigrant Services and local immigration attorney. Please come, join the moment and the conversation, and let’s join our strength together to do what we can here.
