There will be an important  “Noncooperation” training on Sunday Mar. 22,12 - 6 PM, at the Petaluma Veterans Memorial Hall, 1094 Petaluma. Blvd. S., Petaluma. The. purpose will be to prepare our communities to develop civil disobedience strategies, keep ourselves and our neighbors safe, and build a mass movement to stop authoritarianism. Sonoma Valley Pride is proud to present “Beyond the Rainbow, the Intersection of Pride,” a short Documentary screening (34 minutes) plus a panel discussion, a meet-and-greet, and a wine reception featuring the cast, Suzanne Ford and Nguyen Pham, and the film’s director, Antonio Contreras. All proceeds benefit Sonoma Valley Pride and the upcoming June Pride Month Celebration.

Hosted in partnership with Wake UP Sonoma, Out in The Vineyard, and Matthew Long Design, and moderated by Carson Amiral @carson.talks.money of Professionals With Pride.

Beyond the Rainbow is a compelling short documentary that chronicles a historic and transformative moment for San Francisco Pride through the leadership of two groundbreaking figures: Suzanne Ford, the first openly transgender woman to serve as Executive Director of San Francisco Pride, and Nguyen Pham, the first gay Vietnamese American to serve as board president of the organization.

Sally Kohn is a nationally recognized television commentator, writer and executive presence coach working with top executives and political leaders.  

A frequent guest on CNN and MSNBC — and, once upon a time, Fox News — Sally's first book THE OPPOSITE OF HATE was published in April 2018.  She is on the Board of Contributors for USA Today and a contributing editor to Afar magazine. Sally is also a TED Curator and her three hit TED Talks have been viewed more than 6 million times. She is also a popular keynote speaker at business conferences and on college campuses talking about how to end political division and save democracy by cultivating connection and belonging.

And Sally consults as a top public speaking coach and media trainer, working with C-suite executives, nonprofit leaders, celebrities, and everyone in between on speechwriting, prep and public appearances.

Martín Gobbée is a bilingual and bicultural Argentinian who has a strong community presence as the General Manager at The Beacon Bar and formerly the Taub Family Outpost in Sonoma for the past 5 years. He has as a work history as a restaurant manager and leader in the industry, has a BA in History and a Master of Fine arts in acting from Brandeis University. Martin will be leading our work in immigration and Business Liaison.
