NO KINGS #3 IS HAPPENING!
Please stay tuned for more information as the Protest and Action team rallies to put a plan together. If you are interested in joining the Protest and action team to help with this event, please send an email to wakeupsonoma@gmail.com. These protests take a LOT of planning and work. We will need monitors, organizers, and doers to help us bring our community together to say loudly - “NO thugs terrorizing our neighborhoods. NO troop deployments in our streets. NO imperial wars of conquest. NO KINGS!”
And that’s why we’ll likely be asking you to exercise your First Amendment rights through a number of mobilizations before the big one. MORE TO COME SOON!

ICE MIGRA Community Watch Training - zoom opportunity from Montgomery County (MOCO) Immigrants Rights Collective
Date: Thursday, February 12th Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM (EST)
Location: Virtual (Max capacity of 1,000 on a first-come basis)

This training is community-centered, leaning on the self-agency of impacted community members, and trauma-informed because this work is hard, and we must foster the space by centering and uplifting impacted communities.

Wake UP Sonoma does not currently offer Legal Observer Training, but we will collaborate with NBRRN to elevate training opportunities and notifications and offer a sign up sheet to get your name over to them. Wake UP Sonoma Trainings are Community Bystander information and educational trainings. Additional offerings of this type are being considered for Spring.

IMPORTANT ACTIONS TO STAND UP FOR OUR IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY SAVE THE DATE and MOBILIZE YOUR NETWORKS: Next Tuesday, February 10, 2 pm Santa Rosa City Council study session will consider "Federal Immigration Enforcement Practices and Potential Local Public Safety Impacts" We will make our voices heard in public comment: STOP ICE in Santa Rosa. The City Council will consider "further options for actions that can be taken by the City of Santa Rosa to help ensure public safety for our residents." We have ideas and answers about how to keep ICE OUT of Santa Rosa!!! Join us Tuesday, February 10, 2 pm at Santa Rosa City Hall, 100 Santa Rosa Ave. in Santa Rosa.
